Meet the Team at Words to Vow
Fariha Wasti, Founder & Officiant
Fariha brings over a decade of experience in teaching, writing, and communications. Her background includes curriculum development, facilitation guides, and building digital learning spaces for K–12 students. She holds a BA in Sociology from Pace University and an MPA in Urban Policy and Communications from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
As a first-generation Pakistani-American, Fariha is deeply committed to culturally sensitive storytelling. She believes that every ceremony—whether a wedding, memorial, or milestone celebration—deserves words that are inclusive, intentional, and true to the people at its heart.
Kyle Colgan, Speechwriter
Kyle is a writer and storyteller with over 10 years of experience in film, television, and creative media. He earned his BA in Directing from the School of Visual Arts and has written and directed several short films and a feature-length project. He is currently completing his second novel, which explores the emotional terrain of long-term love and commitment.
As a speechwriter, Kyle helps clients transform their thoughts and memories into powerful words. With a filmmaker’s eye and a writer’s heart, he ensures each speech—whether a wedding toast or retirement tribute—feels true to the speaker and unforgettable to the listener.
